Additionally, it’s important to have a consistent environment for your cannabis, so think about a space you can keep long-term, like a drawer or cabinet. 

Once you have found a cool, dry place to store your cannabis, let’s talk about the types of storage. Any type of airtight mason jar or bag is ideal for keeping the air and the elements out. Ideally, you want a very small amount of space between the lid and your cannabis when storing buds. A jar will also protect your cannabis from taking on the taste of the items around it. 

How To Store Edibles

1. For short-term storage, consider silicone containers.
2. Try to pick a container that is similar in size to the edibles so you don’t have too much space for moisture build-up.
3. For long-term storage, we recommend glass jars. 
4. Wrap your edibles in parchment paper before storing them in a glass jar if they are sticky. 
5. You can also store edibles in the freezer if you need to keep them fresh for longer periods of time. They can stay in the freezer for a few months, though it is recommended to thaw them slowly, so you don’t mess with the flavor. 

How To Properly Store Your Cannabis Concentrates

You can’t store cannabis concentrates just anywhere. For example, some might shatter if they get stuck to a glass jar. On the other hand, certain concentrates like budder are easier to scoop out when using a glass jar. So first things first, make sure you understand what type of cannabis concentrate you have and what it requires for storage. Silicone jars are one option for a short-term storage choice, while parchment paper or even plastic jars are another great storage option. Similar to cannabis, try to keep them in a cool, dry place away from moisture or direct sunlight. If you don’t plan to use the cannabis concentrate for a few weeks, consider freezer storage with vacuum-sealed jars.
